8. Plate I of Vol III showing all the sea currents in the Atlantic Ocean, lithography by W. and A.K. Johnston, Edinburgh and London;

9. Plate XXXVI of Vol. IV, showing plans and sections of the Caledonian, Amsterdam, and Suez Canals, by J. Bartholomew, Edin;

10. Plate X of Vol. II, Architecture, showing The Temple of Minerva, Parthenon at Athens, in its present state, and second after proposed Restoration, from highly detailed engravings by W. Howison, Edin. from architectural drawings by W.W. Jenkins, Esq.; William Howison (1798-1850), was a Scottish engraver of note in the early 19th century; the latter’s death indicates that this rare print dates from an original engraving in the first half of the 19th century
